Carithers Flowers Design Favorite

The flexible stems of genista bow and bend as if weeping, although its bright profusion of color would say otherwise. These delicate flowering branches produce small fragant white, pink or yellow flowers that last up to 10 days in arrangements. Genista's long supple branches were at on time used for sweeping, hence its alias, "blooming broom." Heartier members of genista's family were also used in weaving, rope-making and for creating baskets.
