Make a Difference Day is Saturday, October 24th, and this is an opportunity to do something for someone else. It can be helping them out but it can also involve raising money or contributing to a charity.
At Carithers Flowers, we like to focus on community involvement, as we believe that a small business like ours is responsible to those in our community that support our business. We have an obligation to give back and we do so willingly.
To help our customers also get involved in the local Atlanta community organizations and charities that do so much for others, we offer the Helping Hands Program. This program benefits local schools, churches, and non-profit organizations that are located throughout Cobb County.
With each order that a customer makes, they can also donate to one of our participating organizations, which currently include Find A Cure, WellStar Foundation & Hospice, United Way, Hope Lodge-Emory, American Cancer Society, High Meadows School & Camp, Good Mews Animal Foundation and Hightower Middle School.
Our website features a convenient way to make this donation as you purchase your gifts online. On the online order form, you can select “Helping Hands” from a pull-down menu and then select the organization that you would like to have receive your donation.
This is a great way to give back to the community as you make a purchase from us. It’s also a wonderful way for various local organizations to receive some very necessary funding. If you are an organization, you will first need to enroll and then you can distribute our information cards to parents, families, and others.
Once they place orders from these cards, your organization will start receiving the donations in the form of a check that is sent to you at the start of every month. This gives you control over the funds to use how you like whether that be for charitable cause, equipment, or anything education-related.
It’s that easy! The upcoming Make a Difference is the perfect opportunity to make a contribution or get started with the Helping Hands Program!
