Carithers Flowers Delivers “Helping Hands” Along With Flowers
Carithers Flowers of Atlanta has created a wonderful program that we call “Helping Hands.” This program is designed to generate financial support for charity organizations located throughout the Atlanta and Atlanta metropolitan area. Thus far, 6 organizations have taken advantage of the chance to sign up (For Free) for this wonderful program. The organizations currently participating include: Good Mews Animal Foundation, Susan G. Koman for Cancer, United Way, Serving Haiti, Wellstar Foundation & Hospice and High Meadows School and Camp.
Charles Carithers, Owner and President of Carithers Flowers is absolutely committed to giving back to the community. Each year, Carithers makes record charitable contributions in excess $100,000 in products, services, and monies to local and national non-profits.
Through the Helping Hands program, Carithers Flowers charitable partnership with Good Mews Animal Foundation in the Metro Atlanta area assists the organization in its mission to promote public awareness regarding the value of pets, animal welfare, pet overpopulation, and quality human-animal companionship through education and outreach programs.
With each Carithers Flowers order, customers can make a $2.00 donation to the Good Mews Animal Foundation. Good Mews offers an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area by providing a no-kill, cage-free haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until placing them in permanent homes. The Good Mews Animal Foundation is one of the few virtually cage-free, no-kill cat shelters in the State of Georgia. The Helping Hands program encourages customers to take advantage of easily contributing to this reputable organization simply by ordering flowers and gifts from the Carithers Flowers website (www.carithers.com) and selecting “Good Mews” from the list of charities.
To date, the Good Mews Animal Foundation has earned $1,114.00 from 457 orders placed through the Carithers Flowers Helping Hands program. This contribution has played a significant role in housing homeless, abused, or neglected cats in the Metro Atlanta area and helping to place 241 of those cats in permanent homes this year alone. Good Mews receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, service, and money from its supporters, the public and area businesses like Carithers Flowers.

Carithers Flowers partnership with Helping Hands is a unique online fundraising program designed to benefit local schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. Customers can give back to the community they live with each online purchase they make.
Carithers Flowers Helping Hands program is easy for an organization to implement and free to join. Simply fill out the online enrollment form to qualify your organization. Carithers Flowers provides readily available identification cards for your organization to distribute and to spread the word about the program. The organization has full control of these funds for charities, equipment, education or any specific goal decided upon by its members.
